YM: How did music first come into your life?
TM: My mother was a concert pianist and opera singer. music was part of my life every day since day one. YM: Why do you sing? TM: It's my favorite thing to do. It's like breathing and eating for me. YM: How did you move from children’s music to your current music scene? TM: Being in the bay area has exposed me to all kinds of different musicians and musical styles. it has been a natural evolution within my social group. YM: How did you become to be an integral part of a grass-roots musical movement from San Francisco? TM: It happened by being around like-minded musicians with similar lifestyles and similar messages within our music. YM: How do you create a song from start to finish? TM: Usually I hear the music first, and then images and lyrics start to arise around it. Once the basic idea is formulated, it's like filling in the rest of the puzzle pieces one by one. YM: What do you like to sing about? TM: LOVE YM: Your voice is deeply moving and angelic. How does it feel to effect people with your voice? TM: it is the greatest honor and surprise of my life. YM: Who is on your i-pod? TM: Coldplay, Bluetech, Alison Krauss, Ali Farka Toure, Goddess Alchemy Project, India Arie, Heyoka, Wisdom, Manu Chao, Snatam Kaur, Random Rab, and an assortment of other amazing musicians that are pretty unknown. YM: Do you practice yoga? TM: I'm still preparing myself to be a yogini...... YM: What is your favorite part of working in this industry? TM: Getting to know and meet so many incredible people all over the world that are on the cutting edge of everything from music to organic farming, to alternative energy and spirituality. YM: What is on the horizon for you and your music? TM: I'm working on some music right now that I'm really in love with. It's a combination of down-tempo beats and psychedelic dub with beautiful melodies and fat bass. I'm all about dance music right now. YM: Where can we find out more about you and your music?
